Representatives from the Retreat's Patient Financial Services department are here Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to assist you with questions you may have about insurance and billing. We understand that information concerning your health insurance and related charges can be complicated. Our purpose is to assist our patients with financial aid, insurance queries, and with questions regarding your bill.
We encourage you to contact us at 802-258-6745 (or email firstname.lastname@example.org) in case we can help you with any questions or concerns. For example, we can assist with questions about:
- billed charges
- third-party billing to government and commercial insurance carriers
- balances due
- how to make payment arrangements
- changes or updates to your account.
Forms and Helpful Information
The federal government requires all hospitals to make available to the public the following:
- A list of Standard Hospital Charges (also known as a Chargemaster or CDM)
- A list of Costs/Charges for Medications.
These standard charges do not necessarily reflect or represent what you will have to pay; nor do they reflect the actual negotiated payments the Brattleboro Retreat receives from insurance companies for services rendered. Out-of-pocket amounts (i.e., deductibles, co-insurance, copays, etc.) are determined by your particular insurance provider and will vary by individual. Uninsured or under-insured patients should consult the Brattleboro Retreat’s Financial Assistance Program.
