Darcy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1982. She holds two master’s degree from Ohio University—a Master of Fine Arts in Acting (1988) and a Masters of Education in Clinical and Agency Counseling (1994). Her expertise includes the treatment of trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Darcy is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She is also trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Trauma Treatment. Her clientele includes people questioning or living with diverse sexual orientation and gender identities. She employs a creative, eclectic approach to psychotherapy that combines psychodynamic, relational, humanistic, and cognitive behavioral methods.

In her free time Darcy enjoys her horse and dogs, and the practice of Tai Chi.
