

Katie O’Connor, MA, LCMHC, NCC
Senior Program Therapist
Katie is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. Since completing her master’s degree in 2018, she has practiced in a variety of academic and clinical settings ranging from the rural west, metro Detroit, and southern Vermont. Her clinical interests are broad and include intimate relationships, interpersonal process, phase of life and transitional concerns, anxiety and depression, and communication dynamics. Katie’s work is collaborative, client-centered, and relational. She aims to stimulate introspection, self-reflection, and an awareness of self and others such that her clients can gain insight, feel empowered, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Katie’s practice draws from psychodynamic, interpersonal process, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral therapies. She works with adult clients seeking individual psychotherapy and/or process group therapy.
Katie graduated from the University of Montana with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018. She completed a post-master’s clinical fellowship at Eastern Michigan University Counseling & Psychological Services from 2018 to 2020. Katie served as the campus mental health counselor at The Putney School, a local independent boarding school, before joining the Brattleboro Retreat in 2022.
