Drift Mavyn, MSW, CGS, LICSW (fae/they), is a licensed clinical social worker who provides informed, affirming, and responsive treatment to adolescents and families at the Brattleboro Retreat’s Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program. Drift received fae’s BS in Social Sciences from Portland State University in Oregon, and a Master of Social Work from Rhode Island College. Drift additionally holds a CGS in Integrated Behavioral Health.

Drift has worked in a variety of settings including academic, outpatient community mental health, state-funded preservation programs, private practice, inpatient, residential, partial hospital, and intensive outpatient settings. Drift practices from a person-centered, intersectional, and trauma-informed framework across diverse modalities.

Supporting all youth, particularly BIPOC, first-generation, and gender and sexually diverse communities has been a focus of Drift’s academic, professional, community organizing, and volunteer commitments for the last 25 years. Informed, affirming, and responsive care recognizes the significant impact of minority stress and the intersectionality of systemic oppression on a person’s health and wellbeing.
