Beth Rachlin, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow

Beth Rachlin, Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow at the Brattleboro Retreat for Adult Inpatient Programs and also provides outpatient services through the Anna Marsh Clinic. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Brattleboro Retreat in the Adult Inpatient track. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and completed her M.S. in Mental Health Counseling and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Central Arkansas.

Beth has clinical experience working with adults across levels of care and settings, including inpatient psychiatric units, community mental health centers, forensic contexts, and university counseling centers. Her clinical work includes individual and group psychotherapy with adults presenting with trauma-related concerns, mood, anxiety, and personality disorders, grief, suicidality, and acute psychiatric distress. She also has experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and contributing to interdisciplinary treatment planning.

As a clinician, Beth approaches her work from a collaborative and integrative framework, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions. She emphasizes careful case conceptualization, skills development, and values-informed treatment, with attention to individual strengths, context, and clinical goals.
