Levels of Care at the Brattleboro Retreat
To coordinate a referral or admission, please contact a Retreat representative in our Admissions department at 802-258-3700. You can also dial 800-RETREAT [738-7328] for a recorded list of choices that point to different departments within the Retreat. We have also provided some useful forms below to help you get started.
Inpatient
The Brattleboro Retreat has a total of five inpatient units, each designed to serve various populations of children, adolescents, and adults. For more information, visit our programs page.
Partial Hospital (PHP) & Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
- Our new Virtual IOP & PHP Program was launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help adults continue their recovery from psychiatric issues via teleconference technology such as Zoom.
- The Healthcare Professionals & First Responders PHP/IOP offers specialized treatment in a group therapy format—caregivers caring exclusively for other caregivers who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, or substance use disorder as a consequence of their professional experiences.
Residential (Children Only)
- The Abigail Rockwell Children’s Center is a multi-track residential treatment center for children ages 6 to 14.
Outpatient Counseling
The Retreat offers outpatient services through the Anna Marsh Clinic.
