Doctoral Psychology Intern

Katherine Davis, M.S., is a doctoral psychology intern at the Brattleboro Retreat and a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Penn State University. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her M.S. in Psychology from Penn State University.

Katherine has significant experience working with adults in various settings, including residential group homes, inpatient units, university counseling centers, and community mental health centers. She has provided individual and group therapy to clients dealing with PTSD, personality disorders, suicidality, anxiety, depression, traumatic grief, and ADHD. She has also facilitated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) groups. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and integrative, with elements of third-wave CBT approaches, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. Additionally, Katherine has a background in neuropsychological testing for cognitive difficulties and psychodiagnostic clarity.
