Darcy Gingerich, M.Ed., Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, is a Senior Program Therapist and practicing psychotherapist.
She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1982 and holds two master’s degree from Ohio University—a Master of Fine Arts in Acting (1988) and a Masters of Education in Clinical and Agency Counseling (1994). Her expertise includes the treatment of trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. She is currently training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Her diverse clientele includes people with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) issues. She employs a creative, eclectic approach to psychotherapy that combines psychodynamic, relational, humanistic and cognitive behavioral methods.
Outside of work, Darcy enjoys riding horses.
