Gerri Cote, MSW, LICSW, received her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Her extensive clinical background in mental health and addiction treatment includes work with a wide range of populations in inpatient, outpatient, private practice and residential settings.
Gerri was appointed Chief Operating Officer in May, 2016. She joined the Brattleboro Retreat in June 2010 as Director of Special Projects and has served as a member of the executive team since that date. Her primary focus is on developing and fulfilling strategic initiatives that support continued innovation and growth for the Retreat.
With more than 25 years of experience, Gerri is well-versed in the clinical and fiscal operations pertaining to psychiatric and substance abuse services. Prior to coming to the Brattleboro Retreat she served as Director of Clinical Services at Providence Behavioral Health Hospital in Holyoke, MA, where she balanced her strong clinical skills with a business acumen that strengthened operations and promoted team building.
