The Human Resources team reviews applications each business day. After submitting your application you can check your status by logging in to the online application system and clicking on the link "application history." This feature will allow you to see where your application is in the recruitment process.

The Retreat's HR team is unable to personally advise every applicant about the status of her/his application. The names of applicants whose skills best meet the requirements of a given position will be forwarded to the appropriate hiring manager who will further asses each candidate's qualifications and arrange for interviews. Applicants who are not selected for interviews will receive an electronic letter thanking them for their interest in working at the Brattleboro Retreat.

Positions are removed from the list of postings as they are filled.

The length of the hiring process varies. Once your application has been screened by HR it may be forwarded to the hiring manager for his/her consideration. Each unit/program/department has its own process that may include several face-to-face interviews. The final decision is made by the hiring manager. Staff members in HR will then proceed with the formal job offer process.
