Vice President of Community Partnerships/Outpatient Services

Kurt White, LADC, LICSW, CGP, MAC is the Vice President of Outpatient Programs and Community Initiatives, and is the Brattleboro Retreat DEI Officer. 

Kurt L. White is the Vice President of Community Partnerships and Outpatient Services, and also is the Brattleboro Retreat DEI Officer.  He is a clinical social worker by training, and has been at the Retreat in a variety of roles since 2005. 

Mr. White is an adjunct professor at Smith College School for Social Work, where he teaches on a variety of topics including group psychotherapy.  He is a Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, and is recognized as a Master Addiction Counselor by NAADAC - the organization for addiction professionals. 

His interests include group psychotherapy, psychodynamic theory and practice, social justice practice in clinical and agency settings, co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions, and the emerging field of psychedelic psychotherapy.
