Union & Management Forge New Path at the Brattleboro Retreat

With an eye toward emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic with a sense of hope and optimism, UNAP President Rob Smith of Local #5086 (Unit 2) and Louis Josephson, president and CEO of the Brattleboro Retreat got together to pen an opinion piece announcing a "new spirit of cooperation between union and management."  The two leaders say this positive new tone is the result of an ongoing series of frequent, frank, and productive discussions in which issues of common concern such as patient and employee safety, fiscal responsibility, and work/life balance have taken center stage.
