Tasha Farrar, MD, medical director of Outpatient Services, is a board-certified psychiatrist. She received her bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College in Vermont and her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Farrar’s practice is guided by a strong belief in the value of coordinating patient care between behavioral health and primary care providers. She serves a wide variety of adult patients suffering from anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, post- traumatic stress, dissociative disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and dual diagnosis.
Her specialized training in women’s psychiatry focuses on issues of hormonal change, gender, sexuality, parenting, trauma and life transitions. She is an expert on the use of psychiatric medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Dr. Farrar enjoys art, books, video games, Vermont scenery and cooking ethnic food.
