Both PHP and HOP are offered through the Brattleboro Retreat's Birches Program. Both are intensive day programs that provide mental health and addiction treatment by day and allow you to return to your home (or stay in on-campus housing) at night.
The time you spend participating in the Birches Program will include a full schedule of individual and group counseling, medication management, and appointments with various members of your treatment team. Generally speaking:
The Birches Program offers structured programming with a high level of flexibility and opportunities for individual treatment. We will work with you to establish a schedule that meets your personal needs.
Maybe you've just completed inpatient hospital care for a mental health or addiction problem but you still need intensive services and support to keep your recovery heading in the right direction. Maybe you're addressing a psychiatric or substance abuse issue and you need more help than is available in traditional outpatient therapy. The Birches Program is a comprehensive day program that may be right for someone just like you.
We believe that people are resilient. We believe they can make significant changes in their lives that will strengthen their recovery from psychiatric and addiction challenges.
