Anna Marsh Clinic (Children & Adolescents)

Outpatient Counseling for Children & Adolescents

Young people often struggle with a variety of mental health, substance abuse and behavioral problems. Family and school issues can complicate matters. The Child and Adolescent Counseling team at the Anna Marsh Behavioral Care Clinic has the specialized training to help your child feel better and function more effectively.

We Help Children Meet Their Unique Challenges

Maybe your child is having difficulty adjusting to a new school or dealing with an important loss—for example, parental divorce or the death of a loved one. Perhaps other issues are causing your child to have trouble at home or in school:
• peer pressure
• bullying
• anger management issues
• substance abuse
• trauma.

We’re skilled in treating a wide variety of problems affecting children and adolescents. These include depression, anxiety disorders, self-harming behaviors, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, alcohol use, prescription drug abuse, and more.

Assessment & Evaluation

We’ll start with a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment evaluation, then develop a sophisticated and flexible treatment plan to meet your child’s needs. Our collaborative team approach includes input from your child, your family, your child’s physician and other community providers who may be involved.

If further specialized evaluation is necessary for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan, we can rely on the extended resources of the Brattleboro Retreat, which includes a full spectrum of the most comprehensive and current psychiatric, psychological, neuropsychological, and nutritional assessments in the region.
