Dorothea DeGutis, MD

Dr. Dorothea DeGutis, a native of Hartford, CT, earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her residency training at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago along with a fellowship at Children's Memorial Hospital, also in Chicago.

Dr. DeGutis is board-certified in general psychiatry and in child and adolescent psychiatry. Before joining the Brattleboro Retreat she served as a staff psychiatrist at Community Mental Health Center in Lawrenceburg, IN.

In early 2016 she assumed the role of medical director of outpatient services, which encompasses the Birches Treatment Center, the Uniformed Service Program, Starting Now, and the Anna Marsh Clinic. In additon to her leadership responsibilities Dr. Degutis continues to see outpatients at the Anna Marsh Clinic.
