The Brattleboro Retreat offers a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient programs and services to meet the needs of:

Children and Adolescents

At the Retreat you'll find a variety of mental health and addiction services for children and adolescents ages 4 to 18. Our work involves close collaboration with our clients, their families and caregivers, as well as social service agencies and local community providers. Core programs include:

• Inpatient Care—we offer one program dedicated to children ages 4 to 12, and another for adolescents ages 13 to 18.
• Residential Treatment for both children and adolescents
• Meadows Educational Center—an independent, Vermont-accredited school offering elementary, middle, and high school curriculums
• BRIDGES Program—a non-clinical, alternative school
• Anna Marsh Behavioral Care Clinic - comprehensive outpatient care

Adults

Our patient-centered adult services are for people ages 18 and older who want to resolve their problems and learn to function more successfully at home and in the community. We work closely with individuals to assess particular needs and determine the optimal level of care. At all times, we provide an environment that is safe, structured, comfortable, and confidential. Core programs include:

• Inpatient Care—this includes one unit for adults with psychiatric problems and another unit dedicated to adults with co-occurring disorders (simultaneous psychiatric and addiction problems)
• Partial Hospital Program and Hospital Outpatient Services— PHP/HOP is often used as a step down from inpatient care that offers intensive treatment for both psychiatric and/or substance abuse problems in a more flexible environment.
• Starting Now—an intensive outpatient addiction recovery program.
• Anna Marsh Behavioral Care Clinic - comprehensive outpatient care
