Kathleen Brooks

Kathleen K. Brooks joined the Brattleboro Retreat in October of 2000 as Benefits Administrator and was promoted to the Director of Human Resources in May, 2002. Prior to employment at the Retreat she owned and operated Human Resources Consulting Services, helping to meet the Human Resources needs of small to medium-sized local businesses and municipalities.

Before that she served as Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources for Vermont Financial Services Company directing the Human Resource services for this tri-state bank holding company.

With more than 30 years of experience in the field of Human Resources, Kathy's background includes expertise in the area of benefits, compensation, training, employment law, administration, employee and labor relations. 

She received her Bachelors degree from St. Mary of the Wood College in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was awarded the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification through the Society for Human Resource Management. She has been active in the local community through participation on a variety of non-profit boards and other human services organizations.
