Julie Praus, MD

Julie Praus, MD, is the medical director of the Brattleboro Retreat's inpatient program for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals. Dr. Praus, a native of North Dakota, comes to the Retreat having served most recently as Medical Director of the Psychiatry Department at Cambridge Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Dakota and her medical degree from St. Louis University. Praus completed her residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, an Air Force hospital where she was also trained as a flight surgeon.
