Inpatient Mental Health Treatment & Services for Children

Our experienced and compassionate staff is expertly trained to provide your child (age 4 to 12) with the finest treatment available for mental health and behavioral problems. Specialized services include:

• Multidisciplinary assessment
• Psychiatric evaluation
• Medication evaluation and interventions (as needed)
• Psychological testing and sensory profile
• Family assessment and initial therapeutic intervention
• Substance abuse assessment
• Group therapy
• Therapeutic arts and recreation.

Psychoeducation

We will help your child learn about the nature of his or her challenges using age-appropriate teaching methods. In addition, we also teach your child healthy, constructive ways to deal with issues that often accompany mental health and behavior problems.

Creative Arts & Recreation Therapy

Your child will have opportunities to explore a variety of interesting and fun activities organized and led by trained clinicians in our Therapeutic Services Department. Not only are these activities enjoyable, but they’re also part of a well rounded clinical treatment plan designed to improve physical health and help your child get better. Examples include:

• Drawing
• Painting
• Arts and crafts
• Animal assisted therapy
• Dancing and creative movement
• Traditional games
• Fitness instruction.
