BRATTLEBORO, VT—Paul Boutin, MD, has joined the Brattleboro Retreat’s inpatient child psychiatry unit as a staff psychiatrist. A former educator and New Hampshire native, he is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Boutin has a bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College and a master’s degree in Biostatistics from the University of Washington at Seattle. He also earned his medical degree from the University of Washington at Seattle and completed his residency and fellowship training at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle, WA.

“Dr. Boutin comes to us highly recommended from the University of Washington,” said Robyn Ostrander, MD, medical director of Child and Adolescent Services. “He will be a welcome addition to our current staff of three child and adolescent psychiatrists, and will expand our expertise, specifically in the area of eating disorders.”
