William Knorr, MD

William Knorr is a graduate of Temple University Medical School and is Board Certified in Pediatrics, Adult Psychiatry, Child-Adolescent Psychiatry, and Addictions Psychiatry.  After completing his Pediatric Residency, he was in private practice in Williamsport, PA, where he was coordinator of pediatric educational services for the Penn State University Family Practice Residency Program.

After eight years as a pediatrician he changed specialties to psychiatry and joined Brattleboro Retreat in 1988. He is currently the Unit Chief of the Adolescent Inpatient Program. From 1989 to 2001 served as an Assistant Professor of Child- Adolescent Psychiatry at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical School.

Dr Knorr’s current interests lie in residential and inpatient treatment for children and adolescents with co-occurring disorders. He has been the facilitator of the monthly Journal Clubs since 1988 and is Medical Staff President.
