Tom Manning

Tom has worked for the Uniformed Services Program (USP) since it started in 2009. As a member of USP, Tom has taken a lead position in developing and facilitating our peer support groups-this has been an excellent fit for him because of his own background.

As a Marine Corps Veteran, wounded during his service in Vietnam, Tom is genuinely empathetic towards the experiences of people entering the USP for treatment. He has had 30 years of personal experience and ongoing commitments in the local recovery community. Prior to working in the USP, he worked in Addiction Services and Activity Services at the Brattleboro Retreat.

After returning from his military service, Tom received a BA in History from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1971.
