Dr. Tom Hoskins completed his medical training at the University of Rochester and the University of Kentucky, and spent three years in Viet Nam. He practiced general rural medicine in Putney, Vermont, with a particular focus on the disadvantaged and the excluded. In 2007 he joined Starting Now, the Brattleboro Retreat's Outpatient Opioid Addiction Treatment Program under the direction of Geoffrey Kane, MD.
“The disease of addiction cheats people of hope,” says Dr. Hoskins. “Here we specialize in hope. One can get well, or more well. The steps of recovery lead to rediscovering one’s self, and to reentering society.”
