Susan Dixon, MD

Dr. Susan Dixon is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Dixon earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia where she also completed her psychiatric internship.

She completed an internship in pediatrics at the Medical College of Virginia and finished both a psychiatric residency and fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at University of North Carolina Hospitals.

For 10 years prior to coming to the Brattleboro Retreat Dr. Dixon served in a community mental health clinic in North Carolina where she “enjoyed the privilege of seeing children ages 3 to 18 years for evaluation and medication management.”

Dr. Dixon joined the Brattleboro Retreat in April, 2010 as a staff psychiatrist on both the children's and adolescent inpatient programs.
