Heidi Peterson, MSW, LICSW, has more than 16 years of inpatient and outpatient clinical experience. She received her bachelor’s degree from Williams College and her master’s degree from the Smith College School for Social Work. Her outpatient specialties include treating mood disorders (depression, anxiety), using eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to treat post-traumatic stress disorder and other after-effects of trauma, couple’s therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, dual diagnosis (co-occurring mental health and substance abuse) and borderline personality disorder. Heidi integrates mindfulness approaches into much of her work and is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is also an avid nordic skier and home farmer.
