After spending 22 years “away”, Dan returned to his home town of Dummerston,VT with his family in 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bates College and a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Professionally, Dan has a wide range of experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors through diverse roles such as engineering consultant and company founder; operating co-founder of a high-end travel agency specializing in corporate travel; real estate owner and property manager; and Chief Operating Officer of Vermont’s largest private operating foundation.
Dan was elected to the Retreat Board in December of 2011 and is a member of the Board’s Quality and Performance Improvement Committee. Dan also serves on other boards in the following capacities: Vice President of the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation; Secretary of the Dummerston School Board; and a Director of the Riverledge Foundation.
