Dan Normandeau

After spending 22 years “away”, Dan returned to his home town of Dummerston, VT with his family in 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bates College and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Professionally, Dan has a wide range of experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors through diverse roles such as engineering consultant and company founder; operating co-founder of a high-end travel agency specializing in corporate travel; real estate owner and property manager; and Chief Operating Officer of Vermont’s largest private operating foundation. Dan holds real estate licenses in both Vermont and New Hampshire and is currently a member of the team at Berkley & Veller Greenwood Country Realtors in Brattleboro.

Dan was elected to the Retreat Board in December of 2011 and is a member of the Board’s Compensation, Executive, Finance, and Quality and Performance Improvement Committees. Dan also serves on other boards in the following capacities:  President of the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation; Director of the Dummerston School Board; and an Advisor to the Riverledge Foundation.
