The Mulberry Bush Early Learning Center is a year-round early learning center open to families in Brattleboro and surrounding communites, and to employees of the Brattleboro Retreat. The Mulberry Bush has been in operation for more than 20 years.
We provide quality, developmentally appropriate childcare as a supplement to each child's home life experiences. We want parents to feel good about leaving their children in our care. That's why we stive to meet all the needs of the child: physical, emotional, social and intellectual. With this in mind we have created the best policies possible to protect children and enhance their growth.
The Mulberry Bush Early Learning Center is open from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and in-service dates. In our financial packet there is information concerning late pick-ups. Any late fees will be charged to your monthly tuition.
It is important that parents drop off and pick up their children at the times they have requested on their enrollment form and parent contract. Staffing at the center is set up to cover only these hours. The center is closed on the following holidays:
The center will also be closed for one in-service week for building maintenance, program development and staff training. Families will be notified in advance of these times.
There are several days around the holidays (for example, Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas) during which the center will be polling parents about their need for childcare on a given day. These are days that have generally very low attendance. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the doors of the classrooms requiring you to let us know if your child will be attending.
