175 years is a long time by anyone's standards, and that's why we're hosting a celebration to mark the Brattleboro Retreat's 175th consecutive year as one of America's premier hospitals for the treatment of mental health and addiction. We think you'll agree this is an extraordinary milestone.

  • Proceeds from this event's ticket sales will benefit the Retreat's 1834 Fund for the renovation and preservation of the Brattleboro Retreat campus.

Patron ticket holders will have their names published in the evening's event program. With the purchase of 8 patron tickets, you and your guests will be seated at a special table reserved just for your party.

Special Guest: Ken Howard

Emmy and Tony Award winning actor, Ken Howard, has been invited to share his personal story about coping with a family member’s struggle with addiction and depression. Howard has had a long career spanning Broadway, TV and Film. He most recently starred in the critically acclaimed Grey Gardens opposite Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore. He has starred opposite Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette in In Her Shoes, with George Clooney in Michael Clayton, and with Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning in Dreamer, just to name a few. He is well remembered for his starring role as Coach Reeves in the television series he created, The White Shadow.
